Papers are published under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License.
Please, strictly follow the instructions, otherwise object of rejection.
Papers published in the Acta fytotechnica et zootechnica uses conventional format of scientific papers based on IMRAD structure – IMRAD refers to the standard structure of the body of scientific manuscripts:

Introduction,
Material and Methods,
Results, and
Discussion and Conclusions.

Detailed Author Guidelines

The papers only in English language are accepted. Please write your text in correct academic British English.
Periodicity: 4 issues per year
Online publishing: March 31, June 30, September 30, December 31.

Paper submission

Prepared manuscript author submitted using online system (OJS). Before submitting should be carefully reading the detailed article guidelines, formatting instructions, and uploading directions.
Submitted manuscript/paper will be accepted by the editor for first screening. If it passes this process, it will be sent for peer review.
Manuscripts that do not correspond to the kinds of articles the Acta fytotechnica et zootechnica, either in subject matter or in format will be returned to the author for correction
or rejected. Approximately 30 % of submitted manuscripts are not suitable for publishing and rejected. The only publicly open sections in the 2021 are Animal Science and Plant Science.

Submitted paper has not been previously published or submitted to another journal.
File format: DOCX(prefered)/DOC/ODS/RTF
Where available, URLs for the references (include DOI) are provided.
Text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements described to the Guides for Author.
Please take look at the sample article for the main style and format requirements.

Obtained manuscripts are checked by anti-plagiarism system Similarity Check (iThenticate software).

Registration and login are required to submit manuscripts online and to check the status of current submissions.

Collection of Information

As part of the registration, account setup and submission are required the personal data as follows: first (middle) and last name, email, affiliation.

Use of Information
The email address of author(s) is provided as part of the process will be used to contact author(s) regarding purchases, services, and accounts. Contact email address will not be used for marketing purposes. The information about authors is protected and secure.

Disclosure of Information to Third Parties

The Journal editors will not be provided any personally identifiable information to Third Parties (except reviewers – details, see Reviewing Process).

Registration requirements

First Name: lowercase letters except for the first letter.
Middle Name : lowercase letters except for the first letter.
Last Name: lowercase letters except for the first letter.
E-mail: current/valid e-mail.
Phone, fax: telephone/fax numbers are prefixed with the country code preceded by a "+", and separated with hyphens (e.g. +42X-YY-ZZZ-ZZZZ).
Register as author (able to submit manuscripts to the journal).
Affiliation: Affiliations must be written in lowercase letters.

Peer review policy

Editorial evaluation: first step, submitted manuscripts are assessed from the formal / technical points of view (comply with the editorial requirements, resp. guidelines for authors, main aims and scopes and policies) and from the point of view of plagiarism. Manuscripts which are not comply with editorial requirements will be returned for technical corrections. In case general/base incompliance of article with requirements will be rejected, rejected will be also articles with critical similarity score. When the technical/formal evaluation is completed, the manuscript proceeds to the stage of scientific evaluation.

Scientific evaluation
Evaluation from the point of view of scientific quality is provided by the executive editors of subject/thematic sections. Based on the result of the preliminary evaluation from the point of view of scientific quality, the manuscript is either rejected, returned for corrections or moved to the review process. If the requested changes are made, the text returns to the executive editors. When the scientific evaluation is completed manuscript, the peer-review process is following.

Peer-review process
The Acta fytotechnica et zootechnica peer-review model: blind review, two independent reviewers. If necessary (in case there are any differencies between review reports) a third reviewer will be invited. The results of reviewing can be acceptance, acceptance with minor or major modifications or rejected. Once the requested changes/corrections are made, the text returns to the executive editors.

Online publishing

Articles are online published in regular terms as regular issues and as special/monothematic issues  as needed. All applied requirements (processes and policies) are standard both for regular or special/monothematics issues.

Ethical Policies and Statements

The Acta fytotechnica et zootechnica Policies and Statements are based on the guidelines and standards developed and published by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). All documents are available free of charge on COPE website (http://publicationethics.org/).

Submitted manuscripts for publication are single-blind peer-reviewed: reviewers are aware of the identity of the authors, but authors are unaware of the identity of reviewers. There are at least two or more reviewers for the total number of articles in each issue.

Duties

Author(s) Duties:

  • Author attest that paper is their own, original and unpublished work, an author should not in general publish manuscripts describing essentially the same research in more than one journal or primary publication. Submitting the same manuscript to more than one journal concurrently constitutes unethical publishing behaviour and is unacceptable.
  • Author guarantee that the manuscript it has not been copied or plagiarised (in whole or in part); a paper should contain sufficient detail and references to permit others to replicate the work; any used information resources (phrases, data, images, …) must be appropriately cited or quoted.
  • Authorship should be limited to those who have made a significant contribution to the manuscript content and all those who made significant contribution should be listed as co-authors.
  • All sources of support (financial and technical) and details thereof should be named in the acknowledgements section. These include grants, honoraria, industrial, academic and editing support.
  • When an author discovers a significant error or inaccuracy in his/her own published work, it is the author’s obligation to promptly notify the journal editor or publisher and cooperate with the editor to retract or correct the paper.

Editor(s) Duties:

  • Editor is responsible for deciding which of the articles submitted to the journal should be published.
  • Editor will accept and evaluate manuscripts for their intellectual content regardless of race, gender, nationality, ethics origin, political philosophy, religious belief or sexual orientation of the authors.
  • Editors must not disclose any information about a submitted manuscript to anyone other than stakeholders.
  • Unpublished manuscripts or materials must not be used in an editors own research.

Reviewer(s) Duties:

  • Manuscripts received for review must be treated as confidential documents.
  • Privileged information or ideas obtained by reviewers through peer review process must be kept confidential and not used for personal advantage.
  • Personal criticism of the author is inappropriate, review should be conducted objectively and all suggestions and comments should be followed with supporting arguments.

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • Where available, URLs for the references (include DOI) have been provided.
  • The submission follow strictly the style and format provided in the sample article.
